Really cool

This is really great music, especially for an RPG. The only reason you didn't get 10 stars, is because I didn't really care for how the volume kept pulsating louder, softer, louder, softer, etc. I don't know if it was just a side effect from the back beat or something, but it was kind of distracting.

Aside from that, really nice work.

Kajet responds:

Yeah, I have problems with volume control. I honestly don't know what it might be. Composing is no problem but when it comes to the technical part of it I seem to have problems.

Ehm.....

My ears are kind of hurting a little bit, but only because the guitar is such a high pitch. Try lowering it an octave and this would be a really cool little piece.

thanks

Pretty Good

Not bad, but it could use a little more substance. I was hoping for a "part B" at some point, but it just kept going with a few variations on the part A.

So in the future, just try mixing it up a bit more; and give our songs a little more variety. I like what I'm hearing here, just not when it's effectively the same thing over and over for over a minute.

try listening to my first song
its same first part with a 2nd part as you are saying
will have your comment in mind for future pieces.

Awesome

Sounds like something that could be in Megaman Battle Network, or Sonic Advance. Maybe even FF. Love it, great work my friend.

Very nice

I like the melodies A LOT. Very original. The instruments aren't very high quality, but that may just be the program you're using. It sounds kind of like you're using basic midi sounds.

Maybe import this into a program with a bit higher quality instruments, and this would be some awesome stuff!

Great war music

This would go great for an isometric strategy game. GJ, this sounds really nice.

Actually very nice

Didn't know how I was going to like it when it was loading while reading your comments, but it turned out really well. Maybe could use a little bit more of a melody line, though.

What you did though is very nice and not something I have heard a hundred times before. Good job. ^_^

GibbiusMaximus responds:

Thanks a lot for the feedback!
I'm glad that you found this enjoyable as well as original.
Also thanks for that note about the lack of a melody... you are right. At this point there's nothing more than chord progressions- so this is a very good point. Thanks again, and there will be more to come (it's not finished) :D

Omigosh

Sweet piece. I don't think the drums are necessarily random; the riffs may be a little long but I can tell they are looped. Maybe try I.E. instead of 8 bars looped 16 times, do 4 bars looped 32 times. I don't know how many bars your drums are, I'm just giving an example.

Anyways, the synths are great, as always. Keep at this ^_^ Looking forward to your next upload.

MaximuMMaximuS responds:

There are 12 different patterns for the main square plugin (6 high and 6 low). Each one is 4 bars. I didn't use all 12 though. Tyvm!

Awesome!!

This is great! Very nice work. Definitely one of the best 8-bit pieces I have heard.

Parlux responds:

thanks bro

Good but needs a beat

It's not that it's a bad song, the upper level is good. But the drums are much to passive for a dance song. Try giving it some drums with more of a presence.

Right now it's good, I'd even use it in a game if I wrote them, but it just doesn't sound enough like a dance song if that's what you were going for.

I write music, mostly downtempo and soundtrack. Someday I hope to write music for film and video games.
